Nail Athlete’s Foot (Tinea Nails) Improvement Treatment
Do you have any of these problems?
|
Let our center take care of that problem for you!
Improvement results of people who could not be cured at other hospitals (some of them)※Effects and duration of treatment may vary from person to person.

Why does our center’s treatment improve onychomycosis/tinea onychomycosis so much without the use of drugs?
Why it doesn’t get better elsewhere
Ointments prescribed by dermatologists are not very effective for thickened nails or for athlete’s foot that has progressed deeply from the end of the toe to the middle of the nail.
If there is no underlying disease, oral medication is effective, but since it is a medication for the fingertips (the end of the body), the number of people who can take it is limited.
In addition, more and more patients are coming to our center because of inadequate treatment of ingrown toenail athlete at ingrown toenail correction centers, salons, and other hospitals.
What is important is that
-
How did the disease develop?
-
How the post-infection deformity is corrected
-
What part of the nail, finger, or foot is treated and how
-
How to prevent recurrence
These points are necessary for the improvement of onychomycosis (tinea cruris).
Our center’s treatment for improving athlete’s foot (tinea onychomycosis) is a completely unique method. It is also characterized by the following features
-
It is not a cutting or peeling procedure.
-
Therefore, there is almost no pain during the procedure.
-
No medications are used, so pregnant women and diabetics can also undergo the procedure with peace of mind.
※Please do not just scrape off or do moxibustion at other hospitals or salons!
Description of symptoms and causes
Tinea onychomycosis is a nail fungus disease caused by dermatophytes. According to the Japan Foot Week Research Group (JFW), one in five Japanese people has tinea pedis (athlete’s foot) and one in ten has tinea pedis (onychomycosis). Tinea onychomycosis is resistant to topical medications such as ointments, and oral medications cannot be taken by patients with liver or kidney dysfunction or those who are pregnant, and it takes much longer to completely cure the disease. Foot athlete’s foot often develops during the rainy season and summer, and then spreads to the nails during the dry winter months. It is important to first properly treat athlete’s foot skin and then treat the foot. This disease causes the nails on the feet and hands to fall apart and can be transmitted to others. Be sure to face it and fight it off early.
Although there is no inflammation or festering of any nail, onychomycosis (tinea cruris) rarely resolves spontaneously.
Western medical treatment methods include oral and topical medications. Itrizol Capsules 50 (generic name: itraconazole) ・Lamisil Tablets 125 mg (generic name: terbinafine), etc.
The above oral medications are contraindicated with a number of medications, and are also very hard on the body. It should be noted that depending on one’s physical condition, such as those with a bad liver, pregnant or possibly pregnant, or breastfeeding, some oral medicines may not be used. This is unavoidable considering that the medicinal ingredients must reach the extremities.
It is also said that topical (ointment) medicines are difficult to work on thickened nails and, in other words, have limited permeability.
In addition, due to the nail growth cycle, the standard treatment period for the above prescription drugs and others is 13 months.
*This treatment is searched for under the following conditions: athlete’s foot, tinea cruris, cloudy white nails, ragged nails, thick nails, etc.

Effects of Nail Moxibustion
※In the photo of the left, you can see the essential oil soaking into the central part of the nail (by Daichi Kasuya, Chief of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department, Rehabilitation Division, University of Tokyo Hospital, 2009.3. March 2009.)
The specific effects of nail moxibustion have been published in oriental medical journals.
At our center, you can continue to use the same ointment that you are currently using. For definitive diagnosis and follow-up diagnosis, we ask you to consult your dermatologist.
Although the image of moxibustion on nails is hot, we will actually explain in detail about heat blocking treatment and precautions, so please do not worry.
And by performing our original “pre-treatment for nail moxibustion” in combination with the above-mentioned self nail moxibustion, we have achieved much higher improvement results than the treatment with nail moxibustion alone.
Simply applying moxibustion is not enough. This unique treatment is our unique treatment for athlete’s foot, which is not found in other clinics, and it helps to improve the condition as soon as possible.
- Ringworm fungus is killed by heat over 60 degrees Celsius
- Sterilizing effect of essential oil (tar) of moxa
- Autonomic nerve regulation effect by stimulating around the well hole
- Increased penetration efficiency of essential oil into the nail by moxibustion
First and second time |
12,000 yen (per nail, each time) |
After the 3rd |
7,000 yen (per nail, each time) |
*Initial consultation fee of 3,000 yen will be charged for the first visit.
*You need to purchase moxa for self nail moxa.
*After the third treatment, the treatment will be every month and a half to two months.
Why our center’s onychomycosis treatment is chosen…
Visiting the hospital several times a week is both time-consuming and financially burdensome. By separating the treatment from self-care at home, it has become possible to greatly reduce the frequency of visits to the clinic to every one and a half to two months. The secret is our unique “Nail Moxibustion Pre-treatment”.
It is also possible to improve thickened and deformed nails caused by ringworm.

What makes it different from other hospitals?
There is a plus α!
Shin-Yokohama medical Foot Care Center’s
\ 7 features /
1. Thorough analysis and identification of causes through careful counseling and examinationThis examination and analysis is important in creating a recurrence prevention program, and we do not provide the streamlined treatment that is common in large companies, but rather we carefully find the cause of the problem, explain it in an easy-to-understand manner, and provide guidance for improvement. At our center, this examination and analysis allows us to detect and treat lumbar disc herniation, sciatica, and molluscum contagiosum at an early stage, and to recommend that patients go to a nearby clinic. Because we strive to provide treatment that looks not only at the tree (the affected area) but also at the forest (the entire body), we are often able to improve ankle pain, knee and hip pain, lower back pain, stiff neck and shoulders, etc., in addition to fingernail pain. 2. Gentle and painless treatmentSince there is no cutting or peeling, everyone from children to the elderly can receive the treatment with peace of mind. Some people even relax and fall asleep. So even people with diabetes can receive the treatment with peace of mind. If you feel pain during the treatment, we will check with you to see if there is a painless way to proceed, and we try to be patient with you. 3. You can see the difference right there.
Proof is better than argument. We try to make you feel the change and improvement the first time. Our practitioners, who are experts in nails, feet, legs, and even musculoskeletal conditions, are flexible to each person’s individual differences in nails and feet, leading to fundamental improvement. If treatment is not necessary, we will let you know and offer alternatives. Please be aware that there are an increasing number of practices that perform treatments that are not necessary. 4. Improvement for those who cannot be cured by other orthopedic clinics
Those who have strong deformities, thick nails, complications of athlete’s foot, etc. that have been rejected by other hospitals, and those who cannot be cured by wire orthodontics also come to our clinic. Also, many people who want to heal without cutting or peeling off their nails come to us. We have received comments such as, “It didn’t spread at all in other places, but it spread here,” “I just had it scraped off in the past, but it came back, so I want to heal it properly,” and “I should have come here from the beginning. Our treatment is different from other clinics because we have a deep understanding of the development, development, growth, structure, function, and nutrition of nails, skin, and feet, as well as the effects of lifestyle habits. 5.Recurrence prevention program and extensive follow-upIngrown toenails, hooked nails (onychogryphosis), and other nail problems, as well as leg and skeletal problems such as O- and X-legs and pelvis, are prone to recurrence. If nothing is done to correct ingrown toenails or hooked nails (onychogryphosis), they will almost always recur within a year. Whether it is an ingrown toenail, athlete’s foot, or a hooked nail (onychogryphosis), it is always possible to improve the condition. Our center looks beyond that and focuses on methods to prevent recurrence. 6. Safety and Security by National Qualified Medical PersonnelWe are experienced in treating a wide variety of problems in addition to ingrown toenails, athlete’s foot and ingrown toenails (onychogryphosis), and have received wide support from people from outside the city and prefecture, as well as from foreigners. We also have a thorough hygiene control system, so you can use our services with peace of mind. We can also provide services in English, so if you have a family member or friend who is having trouble, please feel free to refer them to us. 7. Close to the station, open on Saturdays, and by appointment only, making it easy to visit. The clinic is located in an easily accessible location, a 3-minute walk from Shin-Yokohama Station, and bicycle parking space is also available. We also have a bicycle parking space, and since there is almost no waiting time because we are by appointment only, we have patients with children and their families. For convenience of payment, we accept various credit cards, traffic IC cards, and cashless payment in addition to cash. |
